AFC Wimbledon are hosting an 'Evening With' Reading legend Steve Coppell at Plough Lane.

'Sir Steve', now 68, played almost 350 times for Manchester United in the 1970s and 1980s but is best known for his long association with Crystal Palace and Reading.

Joining the club in 2003 after Alan Pardew walked out to join West Ham United, Coppell was the manager that led the Royals into the top flight for the first time ever back in 2006, and in record-breaking fashion.

Departing in 2009, the former England winger has since had less successful spells with Bristol City and in India.

On Thursday, March 21, Coppell and his former coach Alan Smith will have a Q&A session in the Viticult Lounge at Plough Lane.

Any tickets brought before March 5 are just £20 and all proceeds will contribute to funding essential training ground equipment.
