Reading boss Ruben Selles has made just one change for tonight's relegation battle against Port Vale, with striker Sam Smith returning from the start.

The 25-year-old did not start either of the last two matches at risk of getting an injury, but did appear for 40 minutes in Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Portsmouth.

Without a goal in his last nine league matches, the popular forward's pressing game has been a key part of the side's upturn in form.

David Button remains in goal despite a tough match at Fratton Park in which he could have done better to prevent at least a couple of the goals.

Andy Yiadom; Tyler Bindon; Amadou Mbengue and Clinton Mola is an unchanged back line, while Michael Craig continues to start in the midfield alongside Harvey Knibbs and Lewis Wing.

Charlie Savage remains on the bench, despite his late consolation goal against Pompey three days ago.

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan moves out wide as Paul Mukairu drops out, with Smith and Femi Azeez making up the front three.
