Portsmouth defender Tom McIntyre was spotted sitting with his former Reading teammates on Saturday for the Royals' 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
The 25-year-old grew up a season ticket holder at the SCL Stadium and spent almost 20 years in the club's academy before making over a century of first-team appearances.
However, less than a fortnight ago the defender sealed a move to League One leaders Portsmouth.
Making his debut for Pompey, the Scotland youth international was harshly sent off after 52 minutes before it was revealed that the fan favourite had fractured his ankle and was to miss the remainder of the season.
While Femi Azeez was netting a brace to down the Addicks, John Mousinho's Pompey were extending their lead at the top of the third tier to six points with a 1-0 win over Carlisle United.
McIntyre was sat with the likes of Tom Holmes, Harlee Dean and Matt Carson who were not involved in the matchday squad.
On Saturday, his boyhood club meet his new club at Fratton Park for the first time in over a decade.
