Reading left it late but earned a point in a tense Thames Valley Derby with Oxford United, ending 1-1 at the Kassam Stadium.

Here are our player ratings.

David Button, 6: Possibly could have done better for Mark Harris' first-half goal but was untested apart from that. Ruben Rodrigues stung his palms on occasion but nothing that made the keeper scurry across his line.

Andy Yiadom, 6: Much less attacking display than we are used to with the captain, but a solid display all-around. Potentially can raise question marks on his lack of pressing for Oxford's opener, but the move happened very fast.

Tyler Bindon, 7: A real coming-of-age performance for the 19-year-old, who took on a much more senior level among his defensive peers and commanded the back line.

Amadou Mbengue, 6: One scary moment in the first-half, which thankfully came to nothing, but apart from that adapted well to centre-back. Complimented Bindon well with his raw pace. Still incredibly unpredictable.

Jeriel Dorsett, 6: Was targeted all match and had a tough afternoon, but genuinely held his own and got better as the game progressed.

Michael Craig, 6: Terrier-like performance from the midfielder, who bust a gut to fly into tackles and win the ball back. Had to last an hour on a yellow card.

Lewis Wing, 6: Was bubbling away nicely without ever taking a hold of the game. Showed some excellent vision and his passing range is among the best in the league.

Harvey Knibbs, 5: A quiet afternoon for the top scorer, who never seemed to get the ball in the right positions to impact the score line. Did nothing wrong but was just not as impactful as usual.

Paul Mukairu, 6: Had some great link-up play up top and looked to progress the ball when he got it.

Sam Smith, 6: Another tough game, being closely marked throughout. Failed to get a real chance to score, but did all the dirty work and held the ball up well when his side needed it.

Femi Azeez, 5: Below par performance from the star man, who was very quiet throughout and failed to grab the game by the scruff as he has recently. An off day.

Substitutes

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, 7: Direct, exciting and clinical. The forward came on out wide and beat his man at will. Great work for the goal.

Charlie Savage, 6: Came on and added cracking energy. Flew into tackles and really got the fans going.

Clinton Mola, 6: Had little defending to do but looked to add plenty going forward.
