Reading fans continued their trend of unwavering away support by selling out this month's trip to League One leaders Portsmouth inside four days.

Pompey are riding high in the third tier and look set to make a return to the second tier for the first time in a decade.

Last playing at Fratton Park in the Capital One Cup back in 2015, this is the first league meeting between the sides on the south coast since 2011/12 when Brian McDermott's team won the Championship and Portsmouth dropped out of it.

A full allocation of 2,000 was snapped up within the week of going on sale for the match on Saturday, February 17.

Only four teams have averaged more away fans at their matches than Reading, despite the club winning just one away game in over a year.

Wycombe Wanderers, Oxford United, Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic are all among the sell-outs, with some big northern trips coming up in the second half of the season.

A waiting list in now up on the club website for any returns.
