Brighton and Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of Reading youngster Caylan Vickers.

The 19-year-old put pen to paper on a long-term deal after a day with the Seagulls.

Working his way through the Royals' ranks, Vickers enjoyed a breakout season in first-team football and departs having scored five goals in 24 appearances.

A popular figure with supporters who burst onto the scene at the start of the season, his form dipped in recent weeks but will be missed by the Reading faithful.

Vickers made his AMEX debut last month against Albion in the EFL Trophy, missing his penalty in a shootout defeat in the last 16.
