Under 48 hours remain before the January transfer window slams shut for another year.

While business has been slow at Reading this time around, there still remain a few recognisable faces available heading into the final knockings.

Take a look below at a few former Royals on the lookout for a new home.

Tariqe Fosu

Spending 13 years at the club from the age of nine, Fosu made just one first-team appearance on the final day of the 2014/15 campaign.

Enjoying loans in League One and League Two, Charlton Athletic and Oxford United brought the winger to the mainstream, becoming a highly sought-after EFL player.

Brentford triggered his release clause in 2020 and the 28-year-old was a key member of the Bees' promotion-winning side in 2021.

Struggling for game time while Thomas Frank's men were in the Premier League, Fosu spent time on loan with Stoke City and Rotherham United last season before exiting the GTech Stadium.

Liam Moore

A homegrown talent at Leicester City, the centre-back played almost 70 times for the Foxes in the Championship and Premier League before Jaap Stam forked out £1m for the former England Under-21 international in 2016.

Becoming a key man from day one, Moore spent seven years in Berkshire and played over 230 times during a topsy-turvy spell.

Club captain for a large time, he was controversially stripped of the title after submitting transfer requests and was sent out on loan to Stoke City for the second half of the 2021/22 season.

Returning for last year, the defender struggled with injury and managed just three cameo appearances in his final campaign before being released/

Still only 30, the centre-back is yet to find a new club.

Ovie Ejaria

A big talent as a youngster with Liverpool, the midfielder struggled to make a name for himself on loan with Sunderland or Rangers before being signed on loan by Jose Gomes in January 2019.

One goal in 16 appearances was enough for Gomes to tempt Ejaria back for a full season in 2019/20, with a deal in place to sign the England youth international for more than £3m in the following summer.

Showing glimpses of quality, it was never sustained and he managed just three goals in three seasons.

Not playing for over a calendar year, the club agreed to cut his deal short by six months and the 26-year-old is still yet to find a new club.
