Reading full-back Nesta Guinness-Walker has joined Stevenage on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has hardly featured for Ruben Selles this season, playing just eight times in League One, and has been usurped in the left-back role by out-of-position Jeriel Dorsett and Clinton Mola.

Originally dropped after the second match of the season against Port Vale, along with Andy Carroll and Tom Holmes, the former AFC Wimbledon man returned for a spell in October and November.

However, he has since not been involved in a matchday squad since November and hasn't even featured for the Under-21 side.

Steve Evans' Stevenage sit seventh in League One, just three points outside the play-offs.

Manager Evans said, “We are delighted to get Nesta into the Stevenage dressing room.

“He is a young man with a fantastic attitude and great ability. He can play anywhere down the left-hand side of the pitch, adding a balance we have needed for some time”.
