Reading will travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

Mikele Leigertwood's Under-18s have beaten Oxford City, Forest Green Rovers and Rotherham United on route to this stage, entering in round one as a League One outfit.

As with the senior FA Cup, Premier League and Championship sides entered at round three.

The Owls needed a penalty shootout to progress past non-league Hemel Hempstead after a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

The Tudors were the lowest-ranked side left in the competition and were leading until the final few minutes of extra-time in South Yorkshire.

A date is yet to be set, but the tie must be played before January 20, 2024.

Fans will be allowed to watch at the historic old ground, with ticket details yet to be confirmed.

Reading reached the semi-final stage in 2014, losing to Fulham over two legs.
