Reading's 5-1 win over Carlisle United on Tuesday has altered the Royals' placing in the latest supercomputer, with the club now fancied to survive in League One.

Ruben Selles' men have picked up back-to-back wins for the first time since August and are now just five points adrift of safety, with games in hand.

December will prove costly, with a hectic schedule including fixtures against the likes of Derby County, Cheltenham Town and Oxford United.

The positive results have seen them leap up the predicted table from 20th to 16th with their relegation chances falling from 50.4 per cent to just 10.8 per cent according to Bet Victor.

Bolton increased their unbeaten run to seven games with an emphatic 7-0 win over Exeter. Ian Evatt’s side are now overwhelming favourites to win League One with a 54.5 per cent chance according to the supercomputer.

Despite being level on points with Bolton, second-placed Portsmouth have seen their form dip with a shock 4-0 home loss to Blackpool at the weekend.  Their chances of winning the title have fallen from 32.2% to 19.8% over the last week.

Burton’s relegation chances are increasing after a tough run of results has seen them drift down to 17th place. The supercomputer has given them a 13.8 per cent probability of going down.
