Former controversial Bolton Wanderers owner Ken Anderson is the latest name linked with the Reading takeover saga, according to national reports.
The British businessman reportedly saw eight companies go bankrupt and was banned from owning a club in 2005 but first became involved with the Trotters in 2013.
First owning a stake in 2016, Wanderers fell from the Championship into League Two under his stewardship, with similar financial crises to what Reading currently face.
The sad decline of #ReadingFC - anchored to the foot of League One, fans in open revolt and a club in severe financial trouble. It could still get worse, with a crucial week ahead. Another cautionary tale of poor ownership. With thanks to @SellBeforeWeDai https://t.co/znPTb6MInu

John Percy of the Telegraph reports that: "Former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has made an offer, while there are suggestions of interest from American investors and a party linked to Ken Anderson, the ex-chairman of Bolton Wanderers."
The Reading Chronicle were told last week that four bids are on the table and that the decision over exclusivity now sits with owner Dai Yongge.
