Reading have announced a ticket deal for their clash with Wigan Athletic next month, with adult tickets as cheap as £5.

Attendances have been among the highest in League One so far this season, despite suffering relegation last season and now 10 points adrift at the bottom of the league.

Staring down at the prospect of playing fourth-tier football for the first time in over 40 years, the supporters have stood up and been counted during the club's strife.

For the Christmas visit of Wigan, on Saturday, December 23, all season ticket holders can bring a friend or member of their family at a heavily discounted rate.

Adults are £10, while anyone Over 65 or 18-24 can purchase a ticket for just £5.

Those Under-17 are £3 while young children under 12 can get in for just £1.

There is no limit on the number of tickets available, although anyone buying in Club 1871 needs to be a member.

Wigan Athletic was the last home game last season, with the home stands being a complete sell-out and a turnout of over 22,000 for the final Championship game in RG2 for who-knows how long.
