Almost 2,000 Reading supporters turned out in protest against owner Dai Yongge.

Falling from third in the Championship to in the League One relegation zone in six years, with 16 points deducted in three years, multiple tax bills missed and staff paid late, Yongge's stewardship has been a disaster.

Members of Parliament, local councillors and former players were in the crowd of almost 2,000 which marched the three miles from Blue Collar Corner in the town centre to the SCL Stadium.

With banners, horns and placards, the A33 dual carriageway was halted as the road was full of Royals making their voices heard.

Reading play Portsmouth this afternoon, who have not lost in 25 matches and bring 3,000 supporters.
