Reading are set to miss out on the signing of Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin, according to national reports.
First linked with the 21-year-old over a month ago, fellow Chelsea youngster Ben Elliott has since arrived in Berkshire on a three-year deal.
Anjorin has made five appearances for the Blues first-team and scored two goals in nine appearances on loan at Huddersfield Town last season.
Linked with the midfielder since the opening of the window, it looks like Portsmouth are set to beat Reading to his signature.
Looks like Tino Anjorin to Portsmouth is all but done. Loan deal with the Chelsea midfielder until January. Had to be patient. Pompey beat the likes of Reading to his signature. Derby had also shown interest. #pompey #readingfc #dcfc #portsmouth

According to Darren Witcoop, of the Sunday Mirror, the loan move is 'all but done.'
It is thought that the Fratton Park outfit had to fight off interest from Derby County, as well as the Royals.
The deadline for loan moves closes on Friday at 11pm, while free agents are able to be signed all year round.
Ruben Selles has confirmed that the club are hoping to make two additions, with a forward one of them.
