Reading defender Nesta Guinness-Walker is attracting interest from Championship sides West Brom and Blackburn Rovers, according to reports.

The full-back has become a fan's favourite since his move from AFC Wimbledon last summer, playing over 30 games last season during the side's relegation from the Championship.

Starting the season as first-choice, the 23-year-old has not featured in the last two matches, with teenager Matty Carson getting the nod.

Rumours had been circulating that Guinness-Walker is among a group of first-team stars on the move before the window closes in under a fortnight.

According to Peter O'Rourke of Football Insider, West Brom and Blackburn Rovers are both keen on taking the defender back into the Championship.

O'Rourke stated: "Reading have informed senior players, including Guinness-Walker, that they may be sold to raise funds this summer.

The Royals are experiencing a financial crisis and have put a number of first-team stars up for sale to try and balance the books."

Ruben Selles, when asked about the senior players left out of the squad for the past two wins, has stated that 'the door is still open' for them to return to the matchday squad.
