Reading FC will start their League One campaign at home to Peterborough United on August 5 at home.
It’ll be the first time in over 20 years that the Royals will play in the third tier of English football, and despite their current financial struggles, they aim to finish in and around the play-off places.
The inaugural away game will be against Port Vale on August 12, before they finish the month with an away trip to Exeter.
Their first Thames Valley Derby of the season will be against Oxford United on October 14 at home, whilst a trip to neighbours Wycombe Wanderers will be played on November 25.
The Royals will then end 2023 with two back-to-back away games against Peterborough United on Boxing Day, and Cheltenham Town on December 29 respectively.
The season will end against Blackpool at home on April 27.
