Reading FC have confirmed that striker George Puscas has departed the club.

The 27-year-old had spent the last 18 months away from the club on loan at Pisa and Genoa in Italy respectively, with him now joining the latter on a permanent basis.

In his two-and-a-half seasons playing for Reading, he scored 20 goals in 91 games which includes bagging a five-minute hat-trick against Wigan Athletic in November 2019.

The club said: “Everyone at Reading Football Club would like to congratulate George on his promotion-winning season in Italy, thank him for his contribution to the club and wish him the very best of luck for the future.”
