Striker Yakou Meite has confirmed that he will depart Reading this summer after six full seasons with the club.
The 27-year-old, who scored 47 goals in 165 appearances for the Royals, took to Twitter to confirm the news on June 21 as he and the club ‘failed to reach an agreement’.
The former Paris Saint-Germain forward will now be a free agent come June 30.
We would like to wish the very best of luck for the future to striker Yakou Meite, who has opted to turn down the offer of a new contract in League One and will leave the club this summer.

He said: “I am sad to announce that after six years with Reading FC, I will be leaving after failing to reach an agreement with the club.
“I came here as a boy, and I leave as a man.
“I cannot express how grateful I am for everything you guys have done for me in my career.

He scored four goals in 27 matches last season.
