FA Cup dates for 2023/24 have been announced, with Reading's participation starting as early as November.

Having remained in the top two divisions since 2002, the Royals have become used to entering the prestigious competition in the third round.

However, now the club have been relegated to League One, the side will be forced to begin their FA Cup journey in Round One- scheduled for November 4.

Famed for its upsets and non-league stories, the extra-preliminary round gets underway in under two months.

There will be six rounds before League One and League Two teams enter in November, while Championship and Premier League sides enter in Round Three.

Exiting in Round Four last year, losing 3-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford, this year will be the earliest the club have played in the FA Cup since a 2-0 defeat to York City in December 2001.

Jamie Cureton's goal was enough to beat non-league Welling United in the First Round a month prior.

The furthest the club have reached is the semi-final twice, the last time as recently as 2015.

A big date in the diary, the FA Cup Final is due to take place on Saturday, May 25.
