Stoke City are set to poach Head of Scouting, Jared Dublin, after just five months with the club.

Arriving after a five-year stint at Sheffield United, Dublin was brought in for Mark Bowen's backroom shake-up last season.

Along with Brian Carey, Dublin was meant to head up the new era in RG2 after years of transfer embargoes.

Speaking at a fan event at Blue Collar Corner, along with Bowen and Carey, Dublin spoke of his anticipation and excitement for the coming window- although that was before relegation to League One was confirmed.

However, it now looks likely that the American will become the new Head of Recruitment at the Bet365 Stadium.

According to the Stoke Sentinal, Head of Football Operations Andy Cousins and Chief Scout Tommy Coakle have only recently left Staffordshire, and Dublin was targeted providing he can earn a work permit.

This does nothing to alleviate the fear and concern from supporters as the manager search heads into its 60th day.
