Sheffield United have released club captain Billy Sharp after promotion to the Premier League.
37-year-old Sharp, a boyhood Blade, had three spells at Bramall Lane in his 20-year career.
His most successful spell started in 2015 as he helped the club rise from League One to the Premier League, playing over 300 times and scoring over 115 goals.
A South-Yorkshire regular, Sharp has impressed with the likes of Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United, as well as Southampton.
The striker had a temporary spell in Berkshire in 2013, scoring twice in 10 appearances under Nigel Adkins.
He scored six goals in 13 appearances against Reading in his career, bettered against only five other teams.
His three goals last season is his lowest personal tally in an entire year during his whole career.
Fellow former promotion favourites, Jack O'Connell and Enda Stevens, join Sharp in leaving the club.
Reading-born Jayden Bogle and former Royal Oliver Norwood remain under contract in Sheffield as Paul Heckingbottom's men prepare for the Premier League.
