Reading winger Junior Hoilett will be targeted by veteran Neil Warnock, should be return to Huddersfield Town, reports suggest.

The 31-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the Royals, making 62 appearances, but is yet to take the club up on the option of an extension after relegation to League One.

The vastly-experienced midfielder worked was Warnock's first signing at Cardiff City in 2016 and both won promotion to the Premier League in 2018.

Warnock, now 74, returned to the John Smith's Stadium to save the Terriers from relegation and initially turned down the chance to stay on for this coming season.

However, reports now claim he has agreed to remain in post, and Darren Witcoop of the Daily Mirror claims Hoilett and former Reading defender Sean Morrison are to be targeted.

Yakou Meite is the only other out-of-contract player offered a new deal to remain in Berkshire, but the Ivorian is not expected to accept.
