Reading supporters will be happy to find out that they will be travelling under 6,000 miles throughout the whole season after the drop to League One- over 1,000 miles less than last season.

Hitting a new Millennium high of 7,326 last campaign on route to relegation, and just two clubs within 100 miles of the SCL Stadium, this figure will drop to just 5,917 next year.

Three clubs- Northampton Town, Burton Albion and Derby County- will all be travelling less than 5,000 miles next season.

However, Carlisle United have a whopping 10,235 miles and Exeter City are not far behind with 9,371.

This becomes the new low for the Royals, who have not had under 6,000 combined miles since 2000.

Averaging below 1000 away fans per match last season, this is expected to increase next season.

Northampton, Burton, Derby and Cheltenham Town are all among the top 10 for fewest miles travelled in the EFL next season.

Meanwhile Carlisle and Exeter are in the top 10 for most combined miles.
