15 Academy talents, including six from the Under-21s, have been released following Reading's relegation from the Championship.

12 first-team players, six of which were on loan, departed as the club prepare for a first season in the third tier since 2002.

These include the likes of Lucas Joao, Luke Southwood and Shane Long.

Among the Academy graduates include the likes of Nahum Melvin-Lambert, Kian Leavy, Claudio Osorio and Rashawn Scott, all of which have made first-team appearances for the club.

Coniah Boyce-Clarke, who made his first-team debut in the final match of last season, has been offered a new three-year deal. Defenders John Clarke, Matt Carson and Jeriel Dorsett has also been offered extensions.

Hamid Abdel-Salam, Adrian Akande, Harvey Collins, Matt Rowley and Michael Stickland have all had extensions triggered on their current deals.

David Nyarko, Ryley Campbell, Kyle Daniel-Spray, Harrison Furlong, Louis Hutchings, Troy Murray, Zion Nditi and Aston Greaver have all been released from the club's Under-18s side.
