Reading look set to extend their away allocations to travelling supporters from next season.

Since 2017, away fans have been offered half of the East Stand- depending on where Club 1871 was.

Currently placed in the South-West corner, up to around 2,000 fans can be housed- with one executive box also offered as overflow for an increased price.

However, this looks set to change from next season as GU1-GU3, in Upper West, is set to be offered first for those travelling.

With sides such as Portsmouth, Derby County and Oxford United to be in League One next year, the SCL Stadium could see some large away contingents.

Reading Chronicle:

Announcing season ticket details today, the club have said: "GU1-GU4 Season Ticket Holders who have been asked to move have first priority to move their seat."

Prior to 2017, up to 4,500 could be housed in the entire South Stand.

This looks set to be the first time away supporters have been sat anywhere BUT the South Stand since the ground first opened in 1998.

With ticket prices increasing in the Upper West compared to the other three stands, it remains to be seen whether visiting fans will be charged more in these sections.
