Reading legend Phil Parkinson has been voted the Manager of the Season for the National League after taking Wrexham back into the Football League.

With almost 400 appearances to his name in the 1990s and early 2000s, 'Parky' has gone on to enjoy great success as a manager with the likes of Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers.

Taking over in 2021 after a spell with Sunderland, the 55-year-old has led the Welsh outfit to a whopping 111 points and a return to the Football League after over a decade in the non-league pyramid.

The Red Dragons have caught the eye this season after Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny took over as owners.

Three of his players are in the Team of the Season, alongside five Notts County players.

County finished second with an incredible 107 points, but have to get past Chesterfield in the play-off final if they are to be promoted with only one automatic spot up for grabs in the National League.
