Reading have over a month to wait until they find out their fixtures for the new League One campaign.

Following a run of no win in 13, and winless on the road since November 2022, the Royals will be kicking off their first third tier campaign since 2002 on August 5.

Thursday, June 22 is the day that the team will find out their new fixture list, at least three of which won't have been on a Royal fixture list before.

Taking part in the EFL Trophy for the first time since 2002- although the Academy were briefly involved in 2017- the first round will begin on September 7.

The opening round of the Carabao Cup will commence in the midweek immediately following the first set of league fixtures, August 7.

Looking ahead to over a calendar year, the League One play-off final is scheduled for Saturday, May 18.

Yet to win a domestic trophy since 1988, the EFL Trophy final will be held on April 7.
