Reading boss Noel Hunt admitted that he will have little 'picking up' to do as his dressing room is full of characters.
The interim boss has been in charge for three matches, picking up two points, while two matches remain to earn safety.
Needing six points in the run-in and hoping others drop points, their fate is out of their hands.
Asked about the need to pick up his players from defeat, the former Royals striker was adamant that his players would be strong enough to pick themselves up heading into two crunch clashes.
"They’ll pick themselves up. You see the characters we have in that dressing room, from Joe [Lumley] through to Scott Dann- who didn’t feature. AC [Andy Carroll] and everyone in between, Shane [Long], we have unbelievable characters in the dressing room, and they make my job very easy. We have to stick together and put a plan in place to execute it next week."
Without a win since February, the club are on track to return to the third tier for the first time in over two decades.
