Reading boss Noel Hunt does not expect any fresh faces back fit in time to face Luton Town tomorrow.

Up to eight first team players remain out, including the likes of Tom Ince and Shane Long.

Fan favourite Yakou Meite, who is yet to appear under Hunt, is expected back on the grass this week and could potentially be in contention for matches after this weekend.

Other long-term absentees remain out, although there is hope that some could still yet play a part this campaign.

Speaking after Saturday's 0-0 draw with Burnley, Hunt said: "Yak is doing his rehab. He’s out on the grass this week, maybe at the start of next week, so they’re all pushing. The response I’ve had off the lads has been amazing, boys who have been told they’re out for the season are pushing to be back and that’s character. From the ones that start the games to the ones on the bench to the ones not in the squad, you’re going to play a massive part of it."

Just four matches remain to keep the Royals in the Championship, with the club currently sat one point inside the relegation zone.
