Here are three things you might have missed.

Record-high crowd

Reading had their highest crowd of the season on Saturday as the league leaders came to town, with the total officially logged at 19,476.

A grassroots and schools day, the fourth one of the campaign, it tops the 17,013 brought in for the last one against Blackpool.

With a season average of just over 13,000, it was a hugely above-average crowd compared to recent seasons.

Only last season's 150th celebration match against Coventry City has topped that since the return from Covid-19- with 22,692 turning out for the 3-2 defeat in February 2022.

Team warm-up

Only a small detail, but before the match all 18 players did a team warm-up with the coaches.

This is very different to how it was under Paul Ince, and how it is under most managers across the divisions, where the substitutes tend to warm-up separately from those starting.

Interim boss Noel Hunt preached unity and togetherness, with this small factor backing up his words so far.

Club record maintained

From a small detail to a large one, everyone connected with the club made sure to make everyone aware that the Royals still hold the record for most points in a season.

Used as part of Hunt's teamtalk, he revealed after the match, Burnley can now only match Steve Coppell's 106 point record set in 2006.

Rattling fans up and down the country, it is a proud moment for supporters and the town alike.
