Reading's recent off-field work has been rewarded with two nominations for the 2023 EFL Awards.

Firstly, the Fan Engagement Award- alongside Bolton Wanderers and Lincoln City, as well as the EFL Green Club Award alongside Bristol City and Northampton Town.

Previously something many supporters had craved for, engagement with fans has come on leaps and bounds under the new regime.

From signing sessions at the Oracle to Easter egg hunts at Bearwood, supporters have had more opportunities to meet players and staff this season than they have for a long time previously.

Meanwhile with the Green Club award, the Royals have worked closely with Reading University to work on their emissions.

From shirts made out of recycled plastic to rumoured solar panels on the roof at the SCL Stadium, the club are becoming much more aware of their footprint.

Away from the club itself, Chair of Supporters Trust at Reading [STAR], Paul Martin, has been nominated for EFL Supporter of the Year.

Recognising the hard work put in by players, staff and clubs in the 72- the prestigious awards ceremony will take place next month.
