Reading are set to take their third-highest away following of the season to Bristol City on Saturday, that is despite adults forking out £33 for a ticket.

Always a popular away-day destination due to its proximity down the M4, thousands travel down to support the Royals every season.

Over 1600 tickets have been sold so far, with the sale period ending tomorrow lunchtime and neither club offering tickets on the day at Ashton Gate.

Only Watford (1873) and QPR (1989) have had larger turnouts this campaign so far.

Paul Ince's side were in much better league positions ahead of the trips to Vicarage Road and Loftus Road- with Andy Carroll's penalty in West London putting the Royals top of the Championship (albeit temporarily).

The Hornets offered £20 tickets in November, while £36 was the cost of an adult gold ticket at the R's.

With a total allocation of over 2500, there are plenty left for those who wish to make a late decision.

Reading beat the Robins 2-0 at the SCL Stadium in the home fixture, looking to do a rare league double.

Averaging away followings of under 900 so far this season, it has been the lowest average amongst the 24 Championship sides this campaign.
