Reading boss Paul Ince described the potential six-point EFL deduction as a 'black cloud' but has insisted that he can't focus on something out of his control.

The Royals were docked six points last season for breaking FFP regulations, and another six were suspended providing the club abided by a business plan.

Reports in the media suggest that this has not been followed, and that the club will be hit with another six points in the coming weeks- dropping the club to 21st in the table and just six points above the drop zone.

Speaking after a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United, Ince explained how he has tried to keep the players from worrying about it.

Reading Chronicle:

"Not yet [news on deduction]. I am hoping I don’t hear anymore. Whether that will be the case I don’t know," he quipped. "I can’t worry about something I can’t control. It’s not nice having a black cloud hanging over your head and not knowing if you’re coming or going but I can’t control that. All I can do is try and get my players focussed on game after game after game and not worry about what’s going to happen after.

"I’ve said to the players that we can’t control it. I don’t worry about things I can’t control, I don’t understand why people do worry about things they can’t control. You can’t do sod all about it, and I can’t control what will happen to us with the EFL. I can make sure our players are focussed on each game, prepared and ready to fight each game. That’s it. Whatever happens happens, we’ll deal with it when it happens."
