Reading favourite Yakou Meite is set to miss the next 'three or four weeks' with injury.
The Ivorian, one of the longest-serving players after arriving in 2016, has suffered an injury-hit few years at the club.
Fighting back into contention under Paul Ince, Meite gained two assists in last week's 3-1 win over Blackpool and played from the start in the 5-0 defeat to Middlesbrough.
Not involved in the 1-0 loss to Sheffield United, the boss confirmed that the winger is set to be out until after the international break.
"Yakou is injured," he admitted. "Not sure if it is going to be three or four weeks. That’s another blow to us, because he was just finding his feet and playing well."
With just 10 days until the next international break, the former PSG youngster could be back for the Easter weekend double-header against Birmingham City and Preston North End.
