Two former Reading goalkeepers, Emiliano Martinez and Mary Earps, were awarded Best FIFA Goalkeeper in the men and women's categories.

A night awarding the best of the best in the footballing landscape, the likes of Lionel Messi and Sarina Wiegman won awards for their efforts in 2022.

Martinez, now with Aston Villa, won the award for best men's goalkeeper after playing a crucial role in Argentina's 2022 World Cup win, being awarded the 'Golden Glove' for the tournament.

A popular figure in Berkshire, the former Arsenal stopper played 18 games in 2019 as Jose Gomes lead the Royals to Championship survival.
