Reading have expanded Club 1871 for the Blackpool clash on Saturday.
Due to the unreserved nature of seating, 10 per cent less of the stand's capacity is put on sale.
Segregation netting has also been in use over recent months, increasing the gap from the home fans to the away fans.
However, the struggling Tangerines have not take up their full allocation, meaning the Royals can fill up to the segregation gate.
As a result, the previous record of over 1,500 could be beaten in the raucous end.
Our previous record was 1,531 Vs Coventry (10% kept behind for unreserved seating).

Already selling out the original allocation, an extra block has been opened up for supporters.
With the fixture being the club's schools event, a bumper crowd of over 16,000Β is already expected with over 200 schools signed up for the clash.
Paul Ince's side have one of the best home form's in the league, losing just three times on home soil.
10 points clear of the relegation zone, the Royals are edging nearer the much-spoken about 50 point mark.
