The Royals travel to South Wales in the Friday night football in the Championship.

Here is everything you need to know.

Form

Tyrese Fornah’s 90th minute winner against Rotherham United in midweek ensured the Royals claimed their first league win of 2023.

Paul Ince’s side had to come from behind to secure the three points against the Millers after Lee Peltier gave Rotherham a first half lead.

However, Andy Carroll equalised early in the second half followed by Fornah’s winner, to give Reading a much-needed Championship win.

It ends a run of six games without a victory for Ince’s side, who will now look to build on the win against Rotherham.

Similarly, Cardiff City claimed a huge victory against Birmingham City last time out with two late goals at St Andrew’s.

Perry Ng and Callum Robinson bagged the goals to ensure the Bluebirds, like Reading, claimed their first victory of the year. It also ends a winless run dating back to early November, which has seen them drop into a relegation battle.

With both sides needing to build momentum after positive results, it is set up to be an intriguing encounter at the Cardiff City Stadium.
