Reading midfielder Mamadou Loum will miss the trip to Sunderland and the home clash with Rotherham United after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season in the 2-2 draw with Watford.

The on-loan central player has been a regular under Paul Ince, making 25 appearances whilst on loan from Porto.

Appearing frustrated with the 26-year-old, Ince hopes the Senegal international learns from the break.

"There’s getting booked for fouls, and there’s getting booked for silly fouls," the former England captain said. "That’s the problem, he’s getting booked for silly fouls. Again today, it’s a foul he didn’t really need to make.

Reading Chronicle:

"It’s got to be a learning curve for him. It will be a loss, in the second half I think he came into the game and the Mama of old, the first half not so much."

The current threshold, which stands at 10 yellow cards, remains in place until next month.

Two regular starters are within a couple of cards themselves, namely captain Andy Yiadom and vice-captain Tom Holmes.

The Ghana star has eight to his name, while the Academy graduate is three off of the cut-off.

Naby Sarr, Lucas Joao and Scott Dann are among the regulars to not have a single card to their names.
