Reading boss Paul Ince admitted he would like 'one or two' more midfielders to come into the club before next week's transfer deadline.

Working under an embargo, the club are at a 'one in, one out' stage where there is currently no room to bring any more players into the club.

Coming after a 4-0 defeat to Stoke City, making it four matches without a win, an angry Ince wanted more from his central players.

"It's tough. You see all these clubs bringing in players and making them stronger and we can’t do anything," he said. "Who knows with this transfer window. At the moment we are what we are, and we have what we have. If we do it right, what we have is fine, I have no problem with that, but when we don’t do it right then it becomes an issue.

"In an ideal world, without an embargo, I’d like to bring another two midfield players in because I think we need them, but that’s not the case."

Loanees Jeff Hendrick, Tyrese Fornah and Mamadou Loum are key for Ince in midfield, with Tom Ince filling in where needed.
