Reading progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win over Watford.

Here are the player ratings.

Dean Bouzanis-6: Kept a clean sheet, took a few risks with the ball at his feet but all in all did very little wrong.

Scott Dann- 6: Marshalled the back three well, using his experience to help the defenders either side and maintain a decent tempo in the game. Good to see him back after a lengthy spell out through injury.

Naby Sarr- 5: Looked a little shaky at times, giving the ball away on occasion and once putting McIntyre in trouble, resulting in a Watford chance.

Reading Chronicle:

Amadou Mbengue- 5: Not one of his best games caught out a couple of times, also guilty of giving the ball away but as is always the case he used his pace to recover.

Sam Hutchinson- 5: Part of a pretty solid defensive unit which did well and kept a clean sheet, protected the back four well but did give the ball away cheaply at times, once resulting in a yellow card.

Tom McIntyre- 7: Looked relatively comfortable in a position which he doesn’t play often, looked composed but similar to Hutchinson did give the ball away cheaply at times. Also provided the assist for Shane Long to finish and give Reading a second.

Kelvin Abrefa-7: Looked really energetic down the right always looking to get forward and provide width. Most noticeably of course he provided the bit of magic needed to send Reading in 1-0 up at  the break with a superb cross-cum-shot.

Baba- 6: Looked a threat down the left but did lack end product at times. He recovered well when called upon.

Reading Chronicle:

Shane Long- 7: In typical Shane long fashion he pressed continuously for 90 mins, and most noticeably provided a calm finishing touch to McIntyre's through ball to give Reading a second.

Femi Azeez- 7: Looked Readings biggest threat throughout, with continuous energy, did have the ball in the net in the first half but the flag went up.

Lucas Joao-5: Didn’t provide much all game in all honesty, had a few opportunities but the ball always seemed to get stuck under his feet.
