With January fast-approaching, there are many youngsters who would benefit from a temporary move away from the SCL Stadium to pick up valuable minutes.
So far, the likes of Jahmari Clarke, David Nyarko and Ben Purcell are all out gaining first team experience in the non-league pyramid.
Here are three more who would benefit from a similar move.
Jokull Andresson
The Icelandic goalkeeper is yet to feature for the Royals since arriving in 2017, but the Academy goalkeeper is a regular among the first team squad and has played over 30 porfessional games on loan for Morecambe and Exeter City
With 19-year-old Coniah Boyce-Clarke breathing down his neck, ideally both need to be picking up valuable minutes with Lumley only on a temporary contract.
A spot could open up next summer, and one of them could stake a claim for more frequent involvement.
Dejan Tetek
Still only 20, the Serbia international was a favourite under compatriot Veljko Paunovic, with 21 first team appearances to his name already.
Suffering with injury for most of the campaign, the midfielder is yet to feature in the league under Paul Ince.
Rumours were cirlcing in the summer, linking him to a loan switch into League One or League Two, but nothing came of them. Maybe this window is the time for a move.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan
Someone who was on the bench almost every week in the early stages of the season, Ehibhatiomhan has played three times in the Championship so far, involved in 10 squads.
Getting his first professional goal in the 2-1 defeat to Stevenage in the Carabao Cup, the 20-year-old should be desperate for first-team action after getting a taste.
Similar to Clarke, who is with Woking in the fifth tier, Ehibhatiomhan is probably at the stage where youth football is not pushing him hard enough, and mens action is needed to continue development.
