On Saturday more than 10,000 Reading supporters were enthralled for an afternoon dripping in nostalgia.
In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the club, more than 40 ex-Royals came together to make it a day to remember for everyone in attendance as a team made up of 2005/06 Championship winners took on a team of 2011/12 Championship winners.
Brian McDermott's side, from 2012, won the game 8-5 after a second-half hattrick from midfielder Brian Howard.
Other stars, including the likes of Marcus Hahnemann and Kevin Doyle on Steve Coppell's team, contributed to what is likely to be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see the old fan favourites out on the SCL Stadium pitch again.
