Further details have emerged about contract offers for Tom McIntyre and Omar Richards.

The club have confirmed that both of the players have been offered new deals at the Madejski Stadium.

Speculation had been rife on social media that Richards could be set for a surprise stay at the club, despite his links to Bayern Munich.

However, a source close to Richards has confirmed that the club have offered a new deal to Richards in order to retain compensation, should he decide to remain in the country.

Richards is still expected, at this point, to sign for Bayern Munich this summer.

Should the 23-year-old move to the Bavarian giants, they will not have to pay compensation for him.

The Reading Chronicle understands that discussions with McIntyre discussions remain ongoing at this point.

A source close to the McIntyre has confirmed that it currently remains unclear whether the club will succeed at securing the services of the 22-year-old, but the Royals are currently trying to get the deal over the line.
