Veljko Paunovic was delighted at his side's display as the Royals returned to winning ways against Derby County.

Goals from Michael Olise, George Puscas and substitute Lucas Joao ensured Reading picked up their first win in five games.

Speaking on the win, manager Veljko Paunovic said: “It was a big result against a hard team.

"There was maturity and it showed a promising fact that we know the opportunity we have ahead of us.

“It was a great response because there was only 30 seconds to end the half with something.

“We have done a great job in the season but we look to increase our performances going forward. I don’t look back, we look to motivate going forward.

"When both strikers score, with two of them who love to score together, is good for the whole squad.

"There is a special pressure on them to score the goals.

"Lucas helped us at a time when we were at a delicate point. Their goal was a fantastic goal, all you can do is applaud.

"With Alfa and Lucas coming on, it helped us defend and consolidate the lead. I'm excited about what is coming up.
