Michael Morrison is unlikely to feature for the Royals for any of their remaining regular season games.

Manager Veljko Paunovic confirmed that he is hoping for Morrison to be in line for a return to the team for the play-offs, should Reading finish the season in the top six.

This follows the news on Friday that Tom McIntyre is unlikely to feature again this season after an injury of his own.

Like Morrison against Barnsley, fellow defender Omar Richards limped off for Reading in the win over Derby County.

Paunovic gave a more promising outlook on the left-back, but said that it was too early for a concrete diagnosis.

"As you saw, Omar walked off limping but for now I am going to avoid giving projections about it because I still don't know.

"He will be assessed tomorrow as always.

“Usually knocks can be recovered quickly but we have to see tomorrow, but the fact he asked for the sub isn’t a good thing."

Paunovic also confirmed that John Swift is in training with the side and is working towards returning to full fitness.
