Here are our player ratings from Reading's 1-1 draw against QPR at the Madejski on Saturday.

Rafael - 6

Was left relatively helpless as Dykes opened the scoring from close range. Made some important saves with the visitors pushing for all three points late on. Distribtion was slightly erratic at points.

Tom Holmes - 5

Was caught napping for QPR's goal when he let Lee Wallace race in behind him and square for Dykes. Improved in the second half and made some important challenges as well as almost finding the net himself.

Liam Moore - 6

Could arguably consider himself unlucky after having the ball in the back of the net shortly before Meite's goal. Threw himself in harms way several times late to ensure Reading didn't fall behind.

Lewis Gibson - 7

After spending a long time away from the side, Gibson slotted in seamlessly and looked very assured at the heart of the defence. Showed some impressive distribution with a number of impressive cross-field passes.

Omar Richards - 6

Added a lot on the left wing going forward and put in some sumptuous deliveries. Left a bit of space in behind defensively.

Andy Rinomhota - 7

His ball retention and recovery was very good and he showed his passing ability with a pinpoint forward ball which was picked up and converted by Yakou Meite.

Josh Laurent - 6

Tireless in the middle of the pitch and very strong in the challenge to regain the ball.

Ovie Ejaria - 8

Was Reading's biggest threat going forward and looked especially dangerous in the first half. Could have had a couple of assists on another day.

Michael Olise - 6

Missed a big chance to open the scoring after being picked out by Ejaria. Not his best day at the office with a few passes failing to reach their target, but still perhaps unlucky to be subbed.

Yakou Meite - 7

Bagged his third goal in as many games to earn Reading the point. Faded as the game reached it's conclusion.

Lucas Joao - 3

Another afternoon to forget for Joao who really looks to be struggling for confidence. Showed good calmness to take a touch and nearly score in the first half but then produced one of the misses of the season in the second half which would have put the Royals ahead.

SUBS

George Puscas - 4

Came on but rarely touched the ball. Tough to remember much he produced of note.

Alfa Semedo - 5

Drew a few pressure-relieving fouls late in the game.

Tomas Esteves - 4

Much like Puscas, failed to offer an outlet on the wing after replacing Holmes.
