Reading travel to Birmingham City tomorrow evening as they look to return to winning ways following the draw with Nottingham Forest last weekend.

The Blues are currently in 21st place in the Championship table with reports suggesting that Aitor Karanka is set to leave the role as manager with Lee Bowyer tipped to take over following his departure from Charlton Athletic.

We spoke to James Jenkinson from Birmingham Fan TV who gave us the inside scoop into what Royals fans should expect from tomorrow's opposition.

At the time of writing, it is looking like Lee Bowyer will take over at the helm. How are Blues fans feeling about the potential appointment?

It’s a really well received piece of news in what has been a largely disappointing season.

Bowyer who was touted before Karanka seemed the obvious choice with his connection to the club as a part of the cup winning squad.

Couple that with the fact he has really stabilized Charlton while working under difficult circumstances playing some decent stuff along the way makes him one of the top candidates.

However I think the biggest thing is that he’s someone the fans can relate to. Honest, hard working and resilient.

Birmingham have had a really underwhelming season, it is fair to say. What would you put that down too?

I think it’s easy to point the fingers at the usual suspects.

Manager, players etc but the main issue at the club for a long time now has been the lack of leadership at the top of the club.

Aside from that on the pitch a combination of negative tactics, stubbornness from the manager and constant errors have made the season a continuous uphill battle.

Are you confident that the Blues can get out of the relegation fight?

t’s such a difficult question because on one hand we are still currently sat outside the drop zone and posses more than enough within the squad to steer clear of this.

On the other hand confidence is on the floor and with Rotherham having so many games in hand over us we need to have the gods on our side once again.

Who are the key men that could cause the Royals problems tomorrow night?

I think Blues posses many danger men within the squad which would surprise a lot considering the nature of the season so far.

The wide players Jeremie Bela and Ivan Sanchez and both very talented technicians while Alen Halilovic has shown when fit that he is a cut above the rest in this league.

Along with those Scott Hogan who is the clubs top scorer has done relatively well considering the lack of ammunition given to him this season.

Score prediction?

Score prediction from me is a 1-1 draw. I think the players will be lifted by the new bosses arrival and a chance at a fresh start against a very good Reading side.
