Reading FC defender Tom McIntyre has not been selected to be a part of the Scotland squad for the upcoming international fixtures.

The 22-year-old has impressed this season for the Royals, demonstrating his versatility by playing in midfield, central defence and as a full-back.

McIntyre has not been capped by the senior Scottish side yet, having played three times for the U21's after making his debut against Holland in September 2018.

Many had tipped McIntyre to make the step up to the senior squad in the three upcoming fixtures against Austria, Israel and the Faroe Islands following his impressive campaign so far.

Defenders Andrew Considine, Declan Gallagher, Grant Hanley, Jack Hendry, Scott McKenna, Stephen O'Donnell, Liam Palmer, Andy Robertson, Greg Taylor and Kieran Tierney have been selected by former Royals boss Steve Clarke with McIntyre overlooked.
