Royals manager Veljko Paunovic gave an insight into his tactical choice that saw three strikers finish the game against Nottingham Forest.

The Serbian boss said that the tactic was not due to desperation, but something that had been rehearsed on the training ground.

Paunovic also praised Yakou Meite who scored on his return to the team.

"I am very happy for Yakou Meite and I am very happy for the team.

"He has been patient, building his momentum in the game and waiting for his opportunity.

"Most importantly, it is important for the team.

"I am very happy about the partnership between our strikers. Now that we have players back, we have more rescources and can build those partnerships.

"Today, we even played with three strikers. We are not afraid of that.

"It was planned. We have talked about that, my vision is that the three of those can exchange at any given moment when they're on the field.

"At the end of the day, you keep the clean sheet and they will find a way to score goals.

"You have to have your goals on the field.

"It is frustrating not to get the win though. We just needed to be a bit more clinical. 

"It's a case of a little bit pf everything [to achieve that] if you start a game with urgency and convert when you're fresher, that's when you can be more clinical."
