READING manager Veljko Paunvoic insists he loves his side being selected for television coverage following news that the Royals have been picked for two more Sky Sports matches.

Games against play-off rivals Barnsley (Good Friday) and Watford (9th April) are the latest Reading games to have been chosen for Sky Sports coverage as the team approaches the final few games of the season.

This will bring the total of Reading matches shown exclusively on one of the main Sky Sports channels (excluding the red button service) to 16 games by the end of April, which is the most the club has ever had.

By comparison, this time last season the side had featured just three times on Sky Sports Football.

Only Watford have been selected more with a total of 17, while the leaders Norwich City have been selected just 13 times and the likes of Barnsley, Middlesbrough and Stoke City have not even reached double figures.

Speaking ahead of a difficult trip to Nottingham Forest, unfortunately not selected for live coverage, Paunovic said he loves his side appearing on the television.

He said: “I love it, all the actors of this spectacle want to be in the middle of a sauce.

"Unfortunately we can’t have our fans but you want the stadium full, a good opponent, a good league, whatever the weather conditions it's important but you have to adapt and embrace it and you want to be on TV.

“You want to be seen worldwide if possible. You want to be exposed to the public because you want to be seen and to be happy doing what we do. In the name of the players, in the name of the team, the club, we’re happy to be on TV .

“We will look always to make ourselves attractive and play attractive football so we can be more there. It’s good for everyone!”
